Walk the Antonine Wall

imageFALKIRK Council has published a free guide to walks around the Antonine Wall.

You can pick up copies at libraries and museums in the Council area, such as Kinneil Museum in Bo’ness.

You can also read the guide online. You need the Adobe Acrobat / PDF reader to view this file.

The Council has also produced the guide in German. Read the German version here.

Alternatively, click on the graphics to the right of this story to directly access the PDF guides in your browser.

Both guides cover walks around:

  • Kinneil Estate, Bo’ness
  • Polmont Woods
  • Callendar Park, Falkirk
  • Tamfourhill, Camelon
  • Rough Castle, near Bonnybridge and
  • Seabegs Wood, Bonnybridge

A walk from the Falkirk Wheel to the Rough Castle Roman Fort near Bonnybridge is also featured in a sister guide: on walks around “The Falkirk Wheel and South Falkirk”. Again this is available online (PDF).
