AN open afternoon at Kinneil House last Sunday attracted 178 visitors. The event was part of a series of free days organised by Historic Scotland and The Friends of Kinneil to allow people to see inside the House. For most of the year, visitors can only see the exterior of the building.
The next open day – offering tours of renaissance-painted rooms and much more – will be on Sunday, August 29 (from noon to 4 p.m.). There will also be a special Hallowe’en open day at Kinneil House on Sunday, October 31.
Please note: Kinneil Museum, in the former stable block next the House, is open all year, normally from Monday to Saturday, from 12.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
