Kinneil Museum re-opens

imageKINNEIL Museum in Bo’ness has re-opened after a temporary closure for building works. The Museum now boasts a proper disabled toilet and baby changing facilities plus an external ramp making access easier for wheelchair users. The Museum is open during its usual times – from 12.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays (plus on special open days at neighbouring Kinneil House). Admission is free.

To mark the re-opening, a special free event is taking place this Friday, May 18. “Night At Kinneil Museum” will see the venue open at night – from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (for one night only).

There will be a visit from members of the Roman Antonine Guard, music from UNISON Kinneil Band – and history walks led by historian Ian Scott (leaving the museum at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.) There will also be free goodie bags for adults and children. Everyone is welcome.

Full details are online at http://www.kinneil.org.uk/night **

** This event has been supported with a Festival of Museums grant from Museums Galleries Scotland.
